Book fair “Hanoi-The city for peace”
(VOVworld) – A book fair with the theme “Hanoi-The city for peace” will be held in late September at Thang Long Citadel to mark the 60th anniversary of the Capital’s Liberation Day.
The fair will include more than 200 booths displaying various kinds of books such as picture, literature, economics and foreign language books. Nguyen Minh Khanh, Deputy Head of Hanoi’s Department of Information and Communication, said the books will display different themes: ancient Thang Long-present Hanoi, the journey of books, General Vo Nguyen Giap and the Vietnam People’s Army, Hanoi and Vietnam’s sea and islands, and world discovery.
Mr. Khanh: "The fair aims to communicate and educate people nationwide about the significance of the Capital’s Liberation Day and Hanoi’s pride at being recognized by UNESCO as the city of peace. It will also raise awareness of Vietnam’s reading culture".
Various workshops and exchanges with culture researchers, writers, and experts will take place in the framework of the fair.
