Brexit: Transition period could last two years
(VOVWORLD) -The Brexit transition period might be extended another year under the plan discussed last weekend by UK and EU negotiators in Brussels.

The UK will leave the EU at the end of March and the transition is scheduled to end on December 31, 2020.
At a special Brexit summit in Brussels, the leaders of the 27 EU members unanimously backed the negotiated withdrawal plan. European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker called on the UK Parliament to approve the agreement, arguing that it is the only possible agreement.
British Prime Minister Theresa May says Parliament will vote on the agreement before Christmas.
