In a 43-page declaration, BRICS leaders called for comprehensive reform of the two organizations to make them more representative, effective and efficient, and to increase the representation of developing countries so the UN can adequately respond to global challenges.

The leaders said they will work together to improve global economic governance and foster "a more just and equitable international order.”

BRICS called for tougher measures against terrorist groups and denounced North Korea's latest nuclear test.
