Brussel’s authorities have banned gatherings and protests against Jews. On Wednesday Françoise Schepmans, Molenbeek’s Mayor, has banned the Identitarian movement’s protest meeting, scheduled for this weekend in Brussels. The Identitarians are a French group of extreme right youths who posted on their website a call for the expulsion of Muslims from Europe.

Schepmans said if the rally takes place, there might be clashes, increasing instability, and division spread among Europeans and the Jewish people.

The ban will take effect in all 19 districts of Brussels.
