Bui Hoang Viet Anh named captain of U23 team Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) -Head coach Gong Oh Kyun has chosen midfielder Bui Hoang Viet Anh as captain of U23 football team to compete at the 2022 AFC U23 Asian Cup in Uzbekistan.

The two vice captains are goal keeper Nguyen Van Toan and midfielder Ly Cong Hoang Anh. They will begin leading U23 team Vietnam in a friendly match against U23 UAE on Saturday in Dubai.
Viet Anh will also be captain at the final round of U23 Asian Cup taking place from June 2 in Uzbekistan. This will be the first time the 1m89 center back wears captain's armband.
Viet Anh was called up to the national football team for the third qualifying round of the World Cup 2022 and played impressively against Australia, Oman, China, and Japan.
