(VOVworld) - Burkina Faso officially recognized Vietnam’s market economy status in a diplomatic note of its Ministry of Foreign Affairs on November 13.

The recognition showed Burkina Faso’s government’s wish to cooperate and work with Vietnam in the market economy mechanism.
It is economically and politically significant and affects other regional countries while considering recognization of Vietnam’s market economy status.
Earlier, Morocco, Benin and Cote d’Ivoire recognised Vietnam’s market economy status.
