Cambodia’s commune election results announced
(VOVWORLD) -The Cambodia National Election Committee’s final counts for the June 4 commune elections give the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) 51 percent of the votes, while the Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) won 44 percent.

The CPP won more than 6,500 council seats across the country, with the CNRP taking 5,007 seats. This victory by the Cambodian People’s Party suggests that the government’s renovation program is on the right track. Both parties announced that they accepted the election results.
