Campaign to popularize People Police Force souvenirs under review

(VOVworld) - A ceremony was held in Hanoi on Sunday night to review a campaign to collect and popularize historical items relating to the People Police Force.

The event marks the 71st anniversary of the August Revolution and Independence Day on 2 September. Since the campaign was launched 3 years ago, 300 organizations and 500 individuals have participated. 5,200 historical items and souvenirs have been collected. 3,800 documents and 200 selected souvenirs will be displayed at   the People’s Police Force museum.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Muoi, Deputy Head of the People Police Force’s General Department of Politics and head of the campaign’s organizing board, said:  “The campaign’s results show the sentiments and responsibility of the People’s Police Force for their task of national defense. We hope that through this campaign, the force will continue to receive support from the Party, the State, ministries, collectives and individuals so as to promote our historical heritage.”

At the ceremony, 19 organizations and individuals were awarded insignias for their contributions to preserving historical items relating to the People’s Police Force.
