Celebration to mark 100 years of N’Trang Long uprising

(VOVworld) – A ceremony took place in Gia Nghia Town of the Central Highlands province of Dac Nong to mark 100 years of N’Trang Long uprising. One hundred years ago, N’Trang Long, a M’Nong tribal leader, united ethnic people in M’Nong Plateau to resist the invasion of French colonialists in 25 years. Resounding victories of N’Trang Long insurgent army encouraged the anti-French armed uprising across the Central Highlands region. Huynh Ngoc Son, National Assembly’s Vice Chairman, was addressing the ceremony ‘N’Trang Long uprising was one of very important campaigns. His career, reputation, and uprising will live forever with the country’s history. In this spirit, I call on the provincial Party Committee, provincial government, and local people including ethnic groups to promote patriotism movements and develop the local socio-economy, ensure security and defense, and make Dac Nong more prosperous’.
