Mr. Hai asked the border soldiers and provincial administrations to urgently call boats to shelter in safer places and people to leave their boats or aquaculture rafts. He urged local administrations to monitor the operation of reservoirs and release water as needed. Provinces which are expected to be directly hit by the typhoon are asked to evacuate people in low-lying or landslide-prone areas to safer places. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on Monday sent two teams to inspect reservoirs and dykes in the central region.
