(VOVworld) - China, Pakistan, and Afghanistan met in Islamabad Wednesday on Afghan reconciliation.

Meeting on the sidelines of the Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process, or the Afghan peace conference, Afghan President Ashrafi Ghani, Pakistani Prime Minister Nawar Sharif, and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi called on the international community to earnestly fulfill its aid promises to Afghanistan.

They said pushing forward the reconciliation process in Afghanistan is an important condition for Afghanistan, Pakistan, and other countries in the region to realize the long-term of order and stability.

They reached the consensus that terrorism has posed a threat to regional and international peace and security and pledged to take an active role in international cooperation on combating terrorism in accordance with international laws so as to meet the security challenge together.
