China promotes cooperation with India and South Africa

(VOVworld) – Chinese President Xi Jinping has met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South African President Jacob Zuma on the sideline of the 6th summit of the five emerging market nations, BRICS - Russia, India, China, Brazil, and South Africa in Fortaleza, Brazil.

While meeting with the Indian Prime Minister, the two leaders stressed their efforts to resolve differences in a positive way and search for proper measures for India and China’s border disputes through dialogues. The two sides also committed to promoting trade, diplomatic ties and cooperation in culture, education, religion, trade, services, investment and tourism. They also said both sides needed to promote mutual understanding, and face global challenges together.

During talks with South African President Jacob Zuma, the two leaders expressed their hopes for raising bilateral relations to a higher level as China and South Africa have great potential for cooperation in energy, minerals, agriculture, infrastructure building, nuclear energy and inter-continental projects.
