Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said the two sides will discuss global economic administration, trade, cooperation on big projects, financial partnership, and collaboration in new areas. He said China wants to deepen UK-China economic ties, increase policy consultancy to uphold multilateralism, and promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation to help forge an open world economy. Both sides want to broaden their comprehensive partnership, particularly investment, finance, technology, agriculture, and cooperation in third markets, a collaborative aspect in the framework of the “Belt and Road Initiative”.
