(VOVworld) - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and US Secretary of State John Kerry have agreed to boost bilateral ties and strengthen communication and discussions on regional hotspot issues. Both sides reached agreement during Wednesday’s meeting on the sidelines of the international conference on Syria, known as the Geneva 2 talks, in Montreux, Switzerland.

Wang Yi said that a series of important bilateral meetings and reciprocal visits have been planned for this year. He hoped that the two countries would make joint efforts to maintain the momentum of high-level strategic communications, deepen pragmatic cooperation in various fields and properly address their differences over sensitive issues in order to build a solid relationship between both countries.
