Chinese Premier Li Keqiang wraps up visit to Vietnam

(VOVworld) - Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Wednesday concluded a three-day official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. The two countries issued a joint statement on deepening their comprehensive strategic partnership in the new period.

The statement stressed the importance of following the shared perceptions of high-ranking leaders of both countries in developing the partnership under the motto “friendly neighborliness, comprehensive cooperation, long-term stability, and looking towards the future” and in the spirit of “good neighbors, good friends, good comrades, and good partners”. During Li’s visit, the two government leaders attended a Vietnam-China business exchange, attended by economic and financial experts and business leaders from both countries. The Chinese Premier also attended an exchange between Vietnamese and Chinese youth entitled “Inheriting the traditional friendship, opening up a bright future” which was held at the Vietnam National University, and met with leaders of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam – China Friendship Association.
