Communications on President Ho Chi Minh need to be strengthened overseas

(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a conference in Hanoi on Thursday to review the 3 year-implementation of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat’s Conclusion on strengthening communications and introduction of President Ho Chi Minh, a national liberation hero, a world cultural figure, to wider international friends.

In his presentation at the conference, VOV’s Vice President Ngo Minh Hien said the Voice of Vietnam has over the past three years particularly introduced and honored President Ho Chi Minh in all channels and platforms and integrated those stories in all external relations information programs about Vietnam, its land and people.  

"The Voice of Vietnam has 13 foreign bureaus and we have cooperated with Vietnamese representative agencies overseas to organize trips to meet witnesses and search for historical materials to produce stories to honor President Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam and overseas," said Mr. Hien.

Deputy Foreign Minister Ha Kim Ngoc. Chairman of the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO highlighted outstanding achievements in implementing the Conclusion over the past three years saying they have contributed to popularizing President Ho Chi Minh, his ideology and contributions to Vietnam and the world, and inspiring overseas Vietnamese people’s national pride.

Mr. Ngoc urged for wider communications activities to honor President Ho Chi Minh’s intellectualism, dignity and ideology to international friends thus deepening Vietnam’s multifaceted cooperation with other countries.
