Tri said it is the public that has been preserving and promoting these magnificent cultural treasures: "Recently the state has strengthened its monument management while the community has gotten more involved in preserving and restoring their heritage. The seminar highlighted the community’s role. The state and the public share responsibility for heritage preservation and promotion. 60-70% of monument restoration funding comes from the public. The state provides management and guidelines to make the work more effective".

The seminar’s highlights will be submitted to the Thang Long-Ha Noi Cultural Heritage Association to inform policies for future cultural heritage preservation in Hanoi.
