(VOVworld)- Con Son-Kiep Bac historical complex in the northern province of Hai Duong has been recognized as a Special National Heritage. Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended a ceremony to announce the title and handed over the government’s certificate of recognition to the provincial officials. The Deputy Prime Minister asked local authorities to continue promoting the relic’s historical and cultural values. "As of today, Hai Duong province needs to exert further efforts to develop the Con Son Kiep Bac relics to deserve being a special national heritage. The province needs to map out a master plan to promote tourism and upgrade the infrastructure. It’s necessary to cooperate with ministries and sectors especially the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to promote the values of Con Son Kiep Bac", said Mr. Phuc.

A number of ceremonial, cultural and sporting activities were held to celebrate the recognition and herald the Con Son – Kiep Bac Autumn Festival 2012.
