Congratulations to Thailand on successful rescue of trapped football team

(VOVWORLD) -Leaders of several countries congratulated Thailand on the successful rescue of all members of a football team trapped in a flooded cave in Chiang Rai province for more than 17 days.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Tuesday sent a letter of congratulations to Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha and the Thai people on the success, with the wish that the football team will recover quickly and soon be reunited with their families. 

US President Donald Trump was among the first to congratulate the Thai Navy SEAL Unit who spearheaded the international rescue effort at the Tham Luang cave complex. Mr. Trump tweeted “great job” and the UK’s Theresa May said the world was watching and would be saluting the bravery of all those involved. 
Belgium Foreign Minister Didier Reynders said he was relieved at the happy outcome of the cave rescue. He congratulated the brave rescuers, including several Belgian divers, saying that his thoughts also go out to the Thai Navy SEAL diver who gave his life in this rescue operation. 
Tech billionaire Elon Musk, who visited the site and sent a small submarine to rescue the 12 schoolboys and their football coach, said this is good news and all the rescue team “did good”. 
On Tuesday night, the last remaining member of the Wild Boars soccer team was removed from the cave. All are being treated in an isolation ward at a Chiang Rai hospital.
