Congratulatory messages sent to Myanmar’s newly elected President
(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung have sent congratulatory messages to Htin Kyaw, who has been elected as Myanmar’s President. The two leaders expressed their belief that under the leadership of President Kyaw, Myanmar will make more advances in its national construction and defense.

That day, Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan also sent her congratulations to Myanmar’s first vice president Myint Swe and second president Henry Van Thio.
Spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Le Hai Binh, said on Friday Vietnam congratulated Myanmar on the successful organization of the presidential election and hoped that Myanmar will further develop with stability and prosperity. Vietnam wishes to foster traditional friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with Myanmar for the benefit of both peoples and for peace and stability in the region and contribute to an ASEAN of unity and strength.
