(VOVworld) – The Office of the President held a press conference on Monday to announce the order of the State President promoting the revised Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

It also announced the National Assembly resolution guiding the implementation of the revised Constitution. The resolution was adopted at the recent 6^th session of the 13^th National Assembly on November 28^th. Phan Trung Ly, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and Chairman of the Assembly’s Law Committee, said the Constitution has 11 chapters and 120 articles. He stressed that the newly adopted Constitution was born out of the government’s official renewal process. He described the document as  comprehensive and uniform in politics and economics, and said it meets the demand for national construction and development as well as international integration in the new era.

The National Assembly also issued a resolution guiding the implementation of the Constitution. It stipulates that the Constitution will take effect from January 1^st, 2014 and define the responsibility of agencies and organizations in implementing and popularizing the Constitution to assure it is fully abided by in all social areas.
