The 560 million USD seaport will span 680 hectares and include 10 terminals. Investment will be generated by My Thuy International Port Joint Venture Company in three phases. Two to four terminals are expected to be completed to receive ships with a capacity of up to 100,000 tons by next year.

Vo Van Hung, Chairman of Quang Tri Province’s People’s Committee, said that My Thuy Seaport is an important transportation project serving the socio-economic development of the entire province and the region.

The port will mainly serve the province’s southeast economic zones as well as cargo transit from Laos and the northeast region of Thailand along the East-West Economic Corridor.
