(VOVworld) - The Contact Group on Ukraine, which includes Russia, Ukraine, and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), convened again in Minsk, Belarus, on Monday with the hope of preserving the ceasefire and political reconciliation agreement signed 6 months ago.

According to Russian news agency TASS, the group will consult with representatives from Donesk and Lugansk on the issue of Shirokino’s demilitarization, finalize an agreement on the withdrawal of arms under 100 mm, and discuss the political part of the peace process road map and humanitarian and economic problems. The Contact Group met previously in Minsk on July 21.
