(VOVWORLD) -Arab countries, including Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Egypt, are working together to support the victims in Syria and Turkey after an earthquake caused massive damage on Monday.

The Lebanese army said it will send 35 engineers to assist with rescue work. The Lebanese Civil Defense is also sending professional units to assist rescue efforts, while the Lebanese Red Crescent will send its rescue teams.
The UAE government said it will dispatch seven relief flights carrying search and rescue teams as well as medical equipment to Turkey and Syria. The UAE has also set up a field hospital in Turkey to help treat people in Kahramanmaras, the epicenter of the earthquake, and the city of Gaziantep, 80 km away.
Egypt announced it will send emergency aid to Turkey and Syria.
The China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) on Tuesday announced 5.9 million USD in emergency assistance to Turkey and will dispatch rescue teams to help save lives and provide assistance to Syria.
Finland and Sweden will send aid to earthquake-stricken Turkey and Syria, their governments said Tuesday. Finland will send humanitarian assistance worth 1.07 million USD through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
The government of Sweden also said Tuesday that it will send an additional 2.8 million USD to the two countries. On Monday, Sweden had pledged 660,000 USD in aid to the affected countries.
The US, Russia, UK, Japan, South Korea, Spain, Canada and many other countries have sent search and rescue teams.
The UN has announced a 25 million USD humanitarian aid for affected areas and sent personnel to assess the actual situation and help when needed. The International Red Crescent said it is sending six search and rescue teams and provide emergency treatment to the affected people.
The EU has deployed 27 search and rescue and medical teams from 19 member countries to Turkey.
NATO shows solidarity with its ally Turkey by sending more than 1,400 emergency response personnel from across 20 NATO allies and partners.
