(VOVworld) – The Hanoi People’s Court has handed down a verdict on the case of ten shipping industry employees charged with intentionally violating the State regulation on economic management, causing serious consequences and property embezzlement. Duong Chi Dung, former Chairman of the Executive Board of Vietnam National Shipping Lines Corporation (Vinalines) has been sentenced to death. Vinalines CEO Mai Van Phuc has also received death penalty. Eight remaining defendants were sentenced to spend 4 to 22 years in prison.
