CSTO calls for unity in fighting terrorism

(VOVWORLD) - The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) called on the UN and other international organizations to unite to fight international terrorism.

In a statement released after its Summit in Belarus, CSTO stressed the need to strengthen interstate cooperation to identify terrorists crossing borders, including those disguised as refugees.

The summit approved 20 documents bolstering CSTO’s security and defense capability. CSTO leaders also signed a plan for implementing its Collective Security Strategy until 2025.

CSTO is an intergovernmental military alliance which consists of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
