Rodríguez  wrote on Twitter “Resumption of limited migration services at the US embassy on an unspecified date will be, when implemented, a step in the right direction.”

He also wrote that Washington's unilateral decision to close the mission in September 2017 following the baseless allegation of the so-called "sonic attacks" against US diplomats in this Caribbean island nation has “severely damaged Cuban families and Cuba-US relations in a number of sectors.”

This was Cuba's first official response since the Havana embassy's chargé d' affaires, Timothy Zúñiga-Brown, announced on Wednesday that  Washington will resume limited processing of immigrant visas.
