Da Nang raises 50bln VND for AO/Dioxin victims

(VOVworld) – Da Nang city raised about 50 billion VND from generous donors for charitable activities in 2014. Da Nang city’s Association of Agent Orange/ Dioxin victims donated thousands of wheelchairs, built 100 houses, and helped AO victims financially develop their production.

The Association’s Chairwoman, Nguyen Thi Hien, said: “In the next tenure we’ll improve healthcare for AO victims. We’ll work with donors to organize direct exchanges to mobilize the resources needed to help AO victims reduce their material burden.”

Da Nang city has more than 5,000 AO victims and more than 1,400 children with birth defects.
