(VOVworld) – Da Nang’s festival Summer Destination opened Saturday at East Sea Park, Da Nang City, and will last until next Friday. This is an annual event organized to stimulate local tourism during the summer vacation.


The event features a series of cultural, sports and tourism events, including beach activities. Many international and domestic athletes, both professional and amateur, have come to Da Nang to take part in a hang-gliding competition scheduled to take place during the Summer Destination program. Tran Chi Cuong, deputy director of Da Nang municipal Department of Sports and Tourism, said: "This year’s event will feature a number of new interesting activities including Flashmode Bikini, Street Dance Competition, Kayaking competition, Family Festival “Loving Arms” with family mini games such as “The little singer” or “Cooking with Daddy”. The festival aims to affirm with international and domestic visitors of Da Nang, a safe, friendly, and high quality destination."
