Da Nang to establish semiconductor and AI research center
(VOVWORLD) - The central city of Da Nang will establish the Da Nang Semiconductor and Artificial Intelligence Center for Research and Training (DSAC), making it the first location in Vietnam to have such a facility.

Under a decision announced on Friday, the Center will advise municipal authorities in building and implementing the city’s project on microchips, semiconductors and AI development in the near future.
DSAC is expected to facilitate cooperation in these fields between Da Nang and domestic and foreign partners.
Nguyen Huy Dung, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, praised Da Nang for taking steps to prepare for a wave of investment in integrated circuit (IC) design and AI development.
“Vietnam plans to develop a network of national semiconductor design, research and manufacturing centers which will be located in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, consistent with the strengths and specific characteristics of each region. We will try to put the centers into operation as soon as 2025,” said Mr. Dung.
