(VNA) - Defence Minister General Phung Quang Thanh held a warm reception for visiting Director of the Russian Federal Security Service (RFSS) General Bortnikov A.V in Hanoi at the Headquarters of the Defence Ministry.

General Bortnikov is leading a high-ranking delegation to Vietnam from April 2-4. Minister Thanh hailed the Russian official’s visit, expressing his belief that it will strengthen friendship and cooperation between the two governments and people, as well as between his ministry and the RFSS. The officials discussed measures to foster cooperation and contribute to maintaining peace and security.
