(VOVworld)- Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the National Assembly deputy delegation of Quang Nam province met with voters in Phuoc Son district on Wednesday.

At the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister said that despite the rapid local development, the poverty rate remained high with 48% of local population in poverty. He urged local Party committees, agencies and people to initiate and activate more effective economic models. Deputy Prime Minister Phuc said:“Each commune and local people need to discover reasons for poverty. The Party and State pay special attention to assisting disadvantaged districts but local authorities and people need to find ways to escape poverty by themselves”.

Also that day, Phuc visited local war veterans in Kham Duc town, Phuoc Son district.
