Deputy PM receives Indian ambassador

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan has said his upcoming visit to India aims to tighten bilateral relations and celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-India diplomatic ties and the fifth anniversary of the two countries’ strategic partnership. At a reception for Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Ranjit Rae in Hanoi on Tuesday, Nhan expressed his gratitude to the diplomat for arranging his upcoming visit when both sides will discuss the possibility of boosting cooperation in education, scientific research, studies on India and Vietnam, information technology, communications, nanotechnology, biotechnology, agriculture, and national defence. The Vietnamese delegation plans to meet high-ranking Indian politicians, as well as leaders of social organizations, universities, and Buddhist training centres. A number of cooperative agreements on IT, biotechnology, research, education, and training will be signed during the visit.
