Deputy Prime Minister pays working visit to New Zealand

(VOVWORLD) -Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue began his two-day official visit to New Zealand on Wednesday.

During his meeting with Finance Minister Steven Joyce, both agreed to boost bilateral comprehensive partnership towards a strategic partnership while raising trade turnover to 1.7 billion USD by 2020. The Deputy Prime Minister asked for New Zealand to share experience to help Vietnam in its economic restructuring. Minister Joyce said Vietnam is an important partner and pledged support for Vietnam’s financial and banking restructuring as well as Vietnamese agricultural exports to New Zealand. The Deputy Prime Minister also met the Chairman of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Neil Quigley and visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Wellington.
