At a meeting of the Steering Committee on Price Management on Friday, Mr. Hue said the inflation rate must be maintained below 4 percent while core inflation must be at 1.6 percent this year. He asked ministries and sectors to pay attention to the rising trend in petrol, gas and the pork price in the last quarter of this year. The Deputy Prime Minister also asked the State Bank of Vietnam to ensure that credit growth matches inflation developments and that capital is channeled into prioritized projects.
