Devotion Awards 2024 honors inspirational contributions

(VOVWORLD) -The 2024 Devotion Awards, the 18th edition, organized by Vietnam News Agency’s Sports and Culture Newspaper, was announced at a cermeony on Wednesday in Hanoi.

The program honors the year’s most outstanding people, works, and programs in sports and music. The “Sports achievement of the year” award `went to the national women's volleyball team, which made the top four in Asia for the first time this year.

Sepak takraw athlete Tran Thi Ngoc Yen, who won a gold medal at the 19th Asian Games (ASIAD 19), was honored as “Young athlete of the year”.

The title of “Sports figure of the year” was given to swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang who secured a ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics, two bronze medals at ASIAD 19, and three golds and one bronze at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32).

The first-ever “Aspiration for devotion” award went to the children’s football center VietGoal.

The Devotion Music Awards has 10 categories. Den, whose real name is Nguyen Duc Cuong, was named “Male singer of the year”. He and his team won the “Music video of the year” award for their video “Cooking for You”.

Musician Do Bao was honored for his program “Do Bao & Friends/Mot minh bao la”.
