Themed “Dien Bien Phu – The Immortal Spirit”, the event is part of activities to mark the 70th anniversary of the historic victory and the July 21, 1954 signing of the Geneva Accords on ending the war and restoring peace in Indochina. The exhibit demonstrates the strength of the great national solidarity and the heroic sacrifice of soldiers at Dien Bien Phu.

Nguyen Van Doan, Director of the Vietnam National Museum of History, said, "Divided into two parts – "Dien Bien Phu – historical rendezvous" and "Determined to fight, determined to win," the exhibit features 150 documents and artifacts that highlight significance of the Dien Bien Phu victory, which was fueled by the nation’s solidarity and determination to triumph."

The exhibition will run until June. The museum will collaborate with the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism Information Technology Centre in launching an e-ticket system for greater visitor convenience.
