(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese Embassy in Laos hosted a ceremony in Vientiane on Friday to mark the 70^th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day. Vietnam’s Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Manh Hung reviewed major milestones of Vietnam’s development over the past 7 decades. He said this success is partly attributed to support of Vietnam’s international friends, including Laos.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt also held a ceremony in New Delhi on Friday to mark the 70^th anniversary of Vietnam’s diplomatic sector. Ambassador Dao Thanh Chung said: "I believe that Vietnam’s diplomatic sector will uphold our predecessors’ spirit and traditions and fulfil any diplomacy tasks assigned by the Party and State. We are determined to complete all missions regarding political, economic, cultural diplomacy and other activities related to overseas Vietnamese. We’ll do our best to offer overseas Vietnamese with best possible conditions to contribute to Vietnam’s development and to tighten Vietnam’s ties with Egypt."

Ceremonies were also held at Vietnamese Embassies in India, Morocco, Malaysia, Germany, and Chile to mark the occasion. At a ceremony held on this occasion in Prague, Czech Republic, Ambassador Truong Manh Son highlighted the diplomatic sector’s glorious achievements over the past 70 years. He called on the Embassy staff to fulfil any tasks assigned with the best results.
