Representatives of donor countries and donor groups have held a Doha meeting on a reconstruction and development strategy for Darfur (Sudan) which was ravaged by a decade of conflict.  At the meeting, the 400 representatives discussed ways to find funding for 6 years- estimated amount at 7.2 billion USD for food and medicine, clean water, and infrastructure development. The UK has pledged at least 16.5 million USD per year for farming and vocational training for farmers over the next three years.
