At its 8th meeting on Thursday in Nha Trang city, the committee said the draft law will be a legal framework for building and developing 3 special administrative-economic units: Van Don (Quang Ninh province), Bac Van Phong (Khanh Hoa province), and Phu Quoc (Kien Giang province).

These areas are expected to enjoy rapid growth with new management methods, modern living services, and favorable investment climates for tourism, finance, and trade. Committee members demanded that the draft law build breakthrough institutions and policies, particularly in socio-economy, administrations and judiciary, in line with the Constitution, international treaties, and international competitiveness.
