(VOVworld) - Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore has told Vietnam News Agency about major achievements in bilateral relations last year. This is the first year since both countries became strategic partners. Vietnam and Singapore posted increase of 20% in two-way trade. Singapore has been Vietnam’s 6th largest trade partner and 3rd investor. Ambassador Nguyen Tien Minh hailed contributions by the Vietnamese community in Singapore as they opened their liaison committee last year, showing their keen interest towards their homeland. He said the embassy will continue to cooperate with the liaison committee to strengthen unity among local Vietnamese, who he sang their praises for youth, dynamism and innovation.
