(VOVworld) – On Tuesday, a military court in the Egyptian city of Alexandria sentenced 452 supporters of ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi from 3 to 25 years in prison for involvement in violent anti-government activities.

Since Morsi was toppled in July, 2013, his supporters have been suppressed by Egypt’s government: 16,000 people have been arrested, hundreds of whom have been sentenced to death.
