Egyptian newspaper hails President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam-Egypt relations

(VOVWORLD) - President Ho Chi Minh, who is loved by millions of people around the world, had a great love for the Egyptian people who still call him “Uncle Ho”, according to an article by Kamal Gaballah published Sunday in Egypt’s Al-Ahram newspaper.

The piece, titled “Following in President Ho Chi Minh’s footsteps”, says Egypt was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam in 1963. The bilateral ties saw dramatic developments in 2017 and 2018, high-level exchanges, and an agreement to boost trade revenue to one billion dollars by 2020. The piece says many Vietnamese business are committed to investing in Egypt’s agriculture, fishery, shipbuilding, tourism, education, and culture.
