(VOVworld) –The Egyptian Embassy in Vietnam held a ceremony Thursday marking the 62nd anniversary of Revolution Day on July 23. The day is considered a turning point of the independence movement not only in Egypt but in the Arab world and Africa. Egypt is a close friend of Vietnam, said Pham Du, Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister. Addressing the ceremony, Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Thạch Dư conveyed the best wishes of the Vietnamese government and people to Egypt – “a close friend of Vietnam”. He praised Egypt’s achievements in national construction and development and said he believes that thanks to strong determination and endless efforts by both countries, bilateral ties have steadily improved.
