(VOVWORLD) - The Suez Canal is safe and secured by the Egyptian army, said the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) in a statement Monday.

According to the statement, the SCA mobilized tugboats, dredges, launches, and nearly 600 personnel to unground the Ever Given. Traffic on the canal is already back to normal.
The SCA said it is putting efforts into enhancing its ability to deal effectively with any possible emergency case.
