(VOVworld) – The national steering committee for the northwestern region met in Bac Kan province on Saturday to discuss ways to ensure security and order in Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, and Thai Nguyen provinces.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc stressed the concern of the party and state for ethnic minority groups, particularly those in the northwestern region. He asked local authorities to care more about the material and spiritual lives of ethnic minority people and communications against subversive schemes to distort party and state guidelines and policies.
