(VOVworld) – EU foreign ministers agreed to form an anti-terror alliance with Arab countries at a meeting Monday in Brussels.

Federica Mogherini, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policies, said the 28-nation bloc plans to send security attachés to certain missions to promote better anti-terror contact with authorities in Arab countries, adding that the officers will be under the direction of the EU External Action Service, not the EU intelligence service. EU foreign ministers also assigned Ms Mogherini to drafting proposals to improve communication in Arab-speaking communities in Europe.
