The EU will work closely with Vietnam to reduce marine litter and share experience from EU countries, such as the Green Agreement and Plastic Strategy.

Pilot projects in Vietnam are expected to contribute to global efforts toward a circular economy through various activities with the participation of the community, families, state agencies, and businesses.

Director of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment’s International Cooperation Department, Pham Phu Binh, said the Vietnamese government and the ministry have affirmed urgent and long-term solutions to reduce plastic pollution and promote economic development in line with a circular economic approach.
