(VOVworld) – The European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) published Monday a White Book on trade, investment in Vietnam and proposals by European businesses.

Addressing the launching ceremony of the book, the seventh edition of its kind, EuroCham Chairwoman Nicola Connolly said the agency acknowledged the Vietnamese government’s recent reform.
According to a report of the 2014-2015 world economic forum, Vietnam has improved its global competitiveness and ranked 68^th, up two positions against the previous ranking.
The white book identifies issues requiring more reforms including investment environment and policies, human resource quality, administrative procedures, and corporate taxes. By making recommendations for European businesses, the book aims to boost European investment in Vietnam and improve local business environment. Connolly said EuroCham hopes that the book will become an effective reference for European businesses and Vietnamese authorities.
