(VOVworld) – 250 photos and 160 documents featuring milestones in General Nguyen Chi Thanh’s life and career are on display in Thanh Hoa province. The exhibition, which opened on Saturday, is in anticipation of the General’s 100th birth anniversary. The exhibition is divided into four topics: homeland, family and childhood of the General, General Nguyen Chi Thanh – a prominent politician and military commander, the General’s great personality and the General with his home province of Thanh Hoa.

General Thanh who died in 1967 was known as a simple and friendly person, who respected the people. In 1962 and 1963 when Thanh Hoa was devastated by severe floods and droughts, Thanh visited affected families and gave out food, rice, clothes and other necessities to them.
